Philadelphia is home to a vibrant healthcare community. For Philly Tech Week, Dash Solutions is hosting a healthcare speaker panel and networking event. This is a chance for the local tech community, healthcare organizations, and startups to come together to discuss opportunities and innovation in healthcare technology.

Healthcare is moving to the cloud - chronic health conditions can be closely monitored remotely - and patient information can be analyzed and used to make better patient treatments. Our local panelists are experts currently developing innovative solutions to improve healthcare. Speakers will answer questions and discuss topics including - opportunities for using data to improve care, determining what makes data valuable, working with healthcare stakeholders, and patient data security and compliance.

This event will be held at the WeWork Market Street location. Pizza, beer and refreshments will be provided.

The Speakers:

Jacob Tobias - Software Engineer, Oncora Medical

Jacob Tobias is a Software Engineer at Oncora Medical. Oncora provides precision oncology solutions for improving clinical workflow, optimizing patient treatments, and building analytics. Tobias was part of the initial development team. He focuses on the backend and data services at Oncora, Tobias extracts data from several hospital EHR systems, works with researchers to identify patient cohorts, and helps in building the data infrastructure for Oncora Medical.

Richard Powers - COO, Strados Labs

Richard Powers, is the Chief Operating Officer at Strados Labs. Strados developed a hardware device for monitoring real-time changes in lung health to help avoid patient readmissions. Powers is the former Chief Information Officer (CIO) of CardioMEMS, a remote cardiac monitoring solution, that experienced a successful $455M exit. Powers and his team designed and developed the world’s first FDA-approved implantable wireless blood pressure sensor for patients with heart failure. He also served as CIO of Endotronix which provides hemodynamic monitoring solutions to help detect worsening heart failure.

Jacob Nemetz - CEO, Dash Solutions

Jacob Nemetz is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dash Solutions. Dash provide solutions for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining HIPAA compliance in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the public cloud. He previously co-founded Intraclinics, which developed a patient engagement platform and developed numerous HIPAA compliant solutions. Nemetz is a cloud evangelist and has been working to unlock the cloud for healthcare and regulated industries.
