Philly Tech Week is a week-long celebration of technology and innovation happening throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. There’s something for everyone! The 9th Annual Philly Tech Week took place May 3 - 11, 2019.

Track Conferences

Philly Tech Week is organized into 7 different tracks (Creative, Access, Dev, Civic, Business, Media and Sciences). You can search for events that match your interests by clicking on one of the track icons.

Technical.ly also organizes Conference Days focused around some of these tracks. Click on the “Get Conference Tickets” button to learn more.

Jessica Pickett

Jessica is the founder of RPM Solutions Group, Inc., a consultancy firm focused on promoting and supporting the mission of public service agencies. Jessica has over 15 years of public service experience. Jessica served as an all hazards lieutenant and paramedic with the Fairfax County, Virginia Fire and Rescue Department where she was a Certificate of Valor recipient. In addition to her fire service field experience, she represented the County as a gubernatorial appointee and technical information specialist on the USAID/FEMA (VA TF 1) Urban Search and Rescue team. Jessica also served as a deputy emergency manager and regional program manager for the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania Department of Public Safety. Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University, remains a Nationally Registered Paramedic, and is a candidate for a Master of Public Health degree from Drexel University.

Brian Musburger

Brian Musburger is the founder and CEO of the Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN), the first media network dedicated to sports gambling information. Before launching VSiN in January 2017, Brian spent nearly two decades as a talent agent, negotiating contracts for some of the top names and personalities in sports and entertainment. In that time, he negotiated more than $250 million in sports, broadcasting and media contracts and endorsement deals for a diverse client base of leading figures across industries, including radio and television broadcasting, live television production, columnists, authors, digital content providers, coaches, and sports franchise owners and executives.

In 2012, Brian won a Regional Emmy Award for his role as Executive Producer of “Reporting For Service with Bryan Anderson” a show about service, highlighting Iraq War Veteran Bryan Anderson.

Russ Micoli

Russ Micoli, Vice President of Behavioral Health Services at Jefferson Health New Jersey. In this role he is responsible for the operational oversight, strategic planning and business development the Behavioral Health service line. He also oversees Jefferson’s EMS services as well as STAT Medical Transport. Russ has over 30 years of experience working in New Jersey’s mental health and substance use service system. He came to Kennedy in 1989 as director of the Children’s Crisis Intervention Services at Kennedy, when he spearheaded the opening of the first acute child and adolescent inpatient mental health service in southern New Jersey. Over the years, his role expanded to oversee the system’s child, adolescent and adult services, and in 2000 he became the Corporate Director of Behavioral Health Services overseeing the full product line across the service continuum. In 2013, Russ took on his current role as Vice President. He was the founding Chair of the South Jersey Behavioral Health Innovation Collaborative and past chair and current member of the New Jersey Hospital Association’s Behavioral Health Constituency Work Group. Russ has a Master’s Degree in Counseling & Educational Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA.

Lauren Robins

Lauren Robins is the Digital Media Coordinator who works with the Flyers Marketing team to provide graphics for digital and traditional marketing campaigns, design work for the Philadelphia Flyers website along with user experience design of the Flyers app and site. Robins also contributes to all Flyers social media channels. Lauren believes graphic design and user experience design creates brand identity and compelling marketing campaigns/content. Lauren earned her Bachelor in Fine Arts in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware.

Lauren Capone

Lauren Capone is the Marketing Communications Coordinator for the Philadelphia Flyers. Now in her second full season, Capone serves as a main contact for all off-ice public relations efforts and helps shape messaging for all major marketing campaigns. She also assists the Flyers social media team, providing live content for home games and other special events. Previously, Capone spent two years as an Athletic Communications Assistant with Temple University Athletics while she earned her Master’s Degree in Sports Business from Temple’s School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management. In 2015, Capone graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication where she was a four-year letter winner and First-Team USAG All-American on their Division I women’s gymnastics team.

Jumoke Dada

Jumoke K. Dada, Principal and Founder, Signature RED and Tech Women Network

Jumoke Dada is best described as a techie and visionary whose sweet spot lies at the intersection on innovation, entrepreneurship, goodwill and girl power.

Dada holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences and real estate certification from Temple University. She is also a certified Scrum Master. Her corporate technical experience includes work as an application developer, business and systems analyst, quality assurance tester, and technical project manager. As the principal of Signature RED, she offers tech consulting services to companies and creates tools and resources for women interested in careers in technology. In 2017, she created the Tech Women Network - an online, searchable platform and community for women with technical skills.

Over the years, she has hosted several educational events and workshops including Building iOS Mobile Apps, Rails Girls, Techies Who Brunch, and the HUE Tech Summit for women of color in tech. Dada is a public speaker with a growing passion to empower women and girls especially those with interests in STEM fields. In the summer, she gives back through her non-profit Signature Red Cares whose main program, Project ALOE, gives care packages and advice to college-bound girls. Dada has been recognized in several media outlets for her innovative ideas, leadership skills and community involvement. Additionally, she is a contributing writer for ForbesWomen where she covers diversity in tech.

Sarah Schwab

Sarah Schwab is the director of marketing for the Philadelphia Flyers. Now in her fifth season with the club, she oversees the team’s branding, promotional, publicity, social, and digital media initiatives. She has previously worked in public relations and marketing roles for the National Constitution Center and the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Temple University with a degree in Strategic and Organizational Communications. A Montgomery County native, Sarah now lives in Aston, PA with her husband and daughter.

Brendan Lowry

Brendan Lowry is a Philadelphia-based artist and entrepreneur. All of his client-work, investments, and ventures are currently produced through his creative agency, Rory. Prior to Rory, Brendan was part of the founding team at Curalate. He still doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up.
