Philly Tech Week is a week-long celebration of technology and innovation happening throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. There’s something for everyone! The 9th Annual Philly Tech Week took place May 3 - 11, 2019.

Track Conferences

Philly Tech Week is organized into 7 different tracks (Creative, Access, Dev, Civic, Business, Media and Sciences). You can search for events that match your interests by clicking on one of the track icons.

Technical.ly also organizes Conference Days focused around some of these tracks. Click on the “Get Conference Tickets” button to learn more.

  • Where art and technology collide. Think: video games, digital art, community initiatives.

Erika Nunez

Erika Guadalupe is a community organizer for immigrant rights and racial justice. Originally from Mexico, she has worked on local and national campaigns to end deportations and detentions since 2011. As the resident artist at Juntos, her work focuses on utilizing art as a tool for social change and leading art-based civic engagement projects to produce community owned images for rallies and campaigns. She has received numerous grants to support Juntos’ budding art program, including a fellowship through the Knight Foundation and the 2017 Leeway Transformation Award. Erika Guadalupe is currently the Manager of Community Programs at Fleisher Art Memorial and graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Fine Arts. She joined the board in the summer of 2014.

Ryan Cody

Ryan leads the sales department at DirectLync. He has over 10 years of experience helping small businesses achieve their goals by optimizing various technology platforms. In his previous roles, Ryan oversaw a variety of marketing activities and was responsible for vetting and implementing different marketing tools and services. Ryan loves the outdoors, spending time with his wife and 3 children, and is an avid sports fan and dog lover

Abha Kumar

Abha Kumar is a principal in Vanguard Information Technology Department. She is head of global sourcing, and drives the strategic vision and execution of Vanguard’s sourcing agenda and IT resource strategy. Before joining Vanguard, Ms. Kumar was vice president and divisional CIO at Dow Jones. Prior to that, she was a group director at The New York Times Company. Ms. Kumar also held positions at ABC and Morgan Stanley. Ms. Kumar earned a bachelor’s degree from Birla Institute of Technology in Pilani, India and a master’s degree from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India.

Frank Racis

Frank is an Associate Principal Engineer with Cerner in Malvern. For the past 23 years, he has worked on the Document Management product, part of the Electronic Health Record. He is an alumni of Penn State University, with a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Computer Engineering.

Howie Ross

Howie is the Director of Engineering at Linode overseeing Product Development. He has been leading teams and building products for 15 years. He has worked at startups, agencies, and financial services companies building websites, apps, e-commerce systems, and more recently cloud computing platforms. Howie is also a guest lecturer and speaker at Thomas Jefferson University, coding bootcamps, and conferences. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Rutgers University and is a Certified Scrum Master. Howie used to organize meetups, sit on philanthropic boards and have hobbies like brewing beer. Now, he’s very happily the father of twin 1-year-old boys and is very into coffee.

Danielle Cohn is Executive Director of Entrepreneurial Engagement at Comcast. Danielle is a passionate connector curating and celebrating Comcast's many great programs in Philadelphia and across the nation that interact with, spark and support startups and entrepreneurship.

Brian Musburger

Brian Musburger is the founder and CEO of the Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN), the first media network dedicated to sports gambling information. Before launching VSiN in January 2017, Brian spent nearly two decades as a talent agent, negotiating contracts for some of the top names and personalities in sports and entertainment. In that time, he negotiated more than $250 million in sports, broadcasting and media contracts and endorsement deals for a diverse client base of leading figures across industries, including radio and television broadcasting, live television production, columnists, authors, digital content providers, coaches, and sports franchise owners and executives.

In 2012, Brian won a Regional Emmy Award for his role as Executive Producer of “Reporting For Service with Bryan Anderson” a show about service, highlighting Iraq War Veteran Bryan Anderson.
